Had yet another delightful visit to the Wildebeest for a bithday meal this week. After more than 25 years visiting this gem of a restaurant, it never fails to be anything other than fantastic. Such a unique blend of beautiful, fresh and seasonal food served in what always seems like a perfect atmosphere, by friendly staff who always help to make the evening so special. I genuinely find it hard to communincate how lovely this place is.

Fantastic dining experience, been to eat here a couple of times now and absolutely loved the menu both times. Food here is absolutely delicious. Staff were super knowledgeable on the dishes and very helpful. Came for a birthday and they even brought out some jellies and chocolates. We love the fact you can see into the kitchen from your seat, and that the restaurant is furnished beautifully. I look forward to my next visit. And feel so lucky to have such a great restaurant a short drive away. I recommend the pork and the sea bream especially. Thank you to all at the Wildebeest.

Had an amazing dinner at Wildebeest Restaurant! The vibe was super cozy and stylish, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our server made great recommendations, and everything came out perfectly. The food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and looked amazing too. The Lamb was my favourite—it was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. Overall, just a fantastic experience. Great food, great service, and a really cool atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

We went for the Taste of Norfolk Evening 6 course menu for my birthday and it was a lovely meal - We were so full! The meats were cooked to perfection and each dish was beautifully presented with attention to detail! The restaurant was busy and the car park was packed despite there being lots of parking spaces. Online booking was convenient and the toilets/surroundings were clean. The wooden tables were unique and added character to the interior design of the place. Service was great too, really welcoming and staff explained each dish to us. We were somehow the last table at the restaurant but we did not feel rushed at all and staff seemed patient enough to even serve me a birthday plate on top of our desserts. The main downfall for me was the dessert - the cherry souffle was soggy at the bottom but I loved the chocolate mousse. Also, some parts of the dishes were a hit and miss with me, e.g. goats curd and puffed rice, but that's just my personal preference. Regardless, we finished everything and I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We had an excellent lunchtime taster menu with the accompanying wine flight. The food was cooked to perfection, the duck main was absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic too, really friendly and able to answer any questions about the menu. A little explanation of each wine pairing would have been nice, i.e. where it came from and why it was chosen to match the dish. It certainly didn't ruin our experience, but it would definitely have been a nice touch. Definitely recommend this place though!

We found this restaurant via the Michelin app. Convenient online booking via their website, ample parking upon arrival and a warm friendly greeting. It becomes immediately apparent that every last detail of this pub/restaurant has been taken care of a meticulously planned. The tables are beautiful and unique, wooden tables from a single piece of wood. The chairs are very comfortable. Service is attentive yet causal and friendly. The food, is simply sublime. Everyone of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal, and commented on how excellent the ingredients, the quality of preparation and the presentation were spot on. We enjoyed the Menu du jour, choosing starters of Courgette & Basil Velouté and Chicken starter. The mains were Farm Assured Roasted Chicken Breast, Hasselback Potatoes, Pancetta, Savoy Cabbage, Mustard Jus and Chargrilled 28 Day Aged Ribeye Steak, Sauté Wild Mushrooms, Leek Ash French Fries, Charlie’s Leaves. Everything about our evening was perfect.
